They helped me recover from a respiratory infection, then, I got a grooming makeover at the salon where they were able to save my matted coat. Then, they took me for a much needed dental, where I had 13 teeth removed! Now, I’m feeling young and spry as ever, and I am so ready to go home. Hi, I'm Peanut! I'm a special dog who needs someone who understands me to give me a chance. I have been at the rescue the longest, over 500 days and counting. I need an owner who is the “leader of the pack” and can guide me and give me more confidence. My absolute favorite thing to do is sunbathe. I love to pick a cot and roll around for a few minutes before taking a long nap in the sun. And I'm known for my big goofy smiles! I am nervous and fearful around strangers, and I have a history of resource guarding. For example, I do like other big dogs, but I will guard my water bowl so I should still be supervised around them. I'm a good boy, I still deserve a chance.
